Frequently Asked Questions
Is This Like a Massage?
No. CranioSacral Therapy is different than massage. I may incorporate other massage/bodywork techniques in a session when it is called for, but the main focus of a treatment is the use of CranioSacral techniques.
What If I Want to Remain Clothed?
In my CranioSacral treatments you will always remain comfortably clothed. It is helpful if you dress casually in non-restrictive clothing for a session.
What will you do in a session?
All treatments are different; there is no prescribed routine. I combine your needs with my knowledge and intuition so that every session unfolds uniquely. To read more about the range of techniques that I might use, go to my About page and scroll down.
Do you give treatments to children?
I give treatments to children of all ages. I require parent/guardian presence in the treatment space or outside of the studio during the treatment.
How often is treatment recommended?
This depends on your body’s condition and your own inspiration. Let’s work together to find the right rhythm for you. Anywhere between weekly to monthly treatment is ideal in most cases.
Are you licensed and insured?
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of New Mexico and I am insured through Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. I have completed 500+ hours of continuing education at Peirsman CranioSacral Academy.
